Impact private equity firm ABC World Asia appoints Tan Shao Ming as chief investment officer and Sugandhi Matta as chief impact officer
Singapore, 6 October 2021 – Singapore-based Asia impact investor ABC World Asia has appointed investment veterans Tan Shao Ming and Sugandhi Matta as Chief Investment Officer and Chief Impact Officer respectively. The new appointments took effect from 1 September 2021.

Tan Shao Ming was previously Managing Director at ABC World Asia, leading investments that addressed challenges such as climate change, financial inequality, and healthcare access. He has over 20 years of institutional investing experience and started his career with Singapore state investor Temasek.
Sugandhi Matta joined ABC World Asia at its inception as Managing Director. With over 16 years of investing experience in South and Southeast Asia, Sugandhi was formerly with Leapfrog Investments, a global impact investment group. Sugandhi started her investing career at Temasek focusing on the financial services sector.
ABC World Asia has a growing portfolio that includes companies in Singapore, China, Vietnam, India, and Australia, working on solutions for climate change, food scarcity, access to healthcare and education, and financial inclusion.
