Standard Chartered, INSEAD and SC Ventures launch Next Gen programme
Standard Chartered Bank has concluded the Young Entrepreneur Programme (YEP) for the next generation of its high-net-worth (HNW) clients under the priority private segment.
The inaugural programme took place over four days in Singapore in early August, bringing together 53 participants of 13 nationalities, joining from eight of the bank’s key markets in Asia and beyond.
The YEP, which is specially curated in collaboration with INSEAD and SC Ventures, Standard Chartered’s innovation, fintech investment and ventures arm, focuses on building early entrepreneurial skills. It leverages the deep knowledge expertise of the INSEAD senior faculty and on-the-ground hands-on venture creation experience of SC Ventures to take participants through a compelling journey – from embedding a human-centred design, translating client insights into venture ideas, to building a convincing business model and pitching to an experienced panel from Standard Chartered Bank, SC Ventures and INSEAD.
Ong Lay Choo, global head, affluent segment, Standard Chartered said: “The Young Entrepreneur Programme reflects our holistic client proposition. Beyond tailoring solutions to meet our high-net-worth clients’ financial goals, we also provide clients with access to unique personal experiences while supporting the development of their next generation.”
The YEP is part of the bank’s Global Experiences, a by-invitation-only programme, which offers an integrated suite of differentiating experiences specially curated for HNW clients under its priority private client segment. In collaboration with leading industry practitioners and partners, the Global Experiences programme provides the bank’s clients with bespoke experiences that touch their lives across different dimensions – enrich their next generation, enhance physical and mental wellness, deepen their knowledge and enliven their lifestyle.
Key offerings under the Global Experiences programme include a signature annual International Golf Series held across the bank’s key footprint markets, a Global Concierge programme with experiential lifestyle themes and delivered via an engaging digital platform, as well as the Masters’ Series which offers priority private clients exclusive access to top-notch expert speakers across a range of specialised and niche topics.
