Wealth & Society is a global programme that seeks to identify the positive impact and important role that wealth have on society. In building this programme, we measure wealth not by the amount of financial assets that individuals amass but by the positive impact they create on society through sustainable projects. The programme is predicated on the belief that the wealthy can have a positive impact on the sustainability and progress of the society that they are in.
Based on this philosophy of contribution and giving back to the society, we identify these individuals as “Champions of Philanthropy” through the projects that are close to their hearts and which they believe will affect their immediate society in a deep and profound manner across Africa, the Americas, Asia, Europe and the Middle East.
The Global Wealth and Society Awards Programme seeks to recognise high and ultra-high net-worth individuals who use their wealth to bring about positive impacts on the society that they operate in, and the institutions that help them do so.
